Brand Samsara

brandsamsara.com ↗

A Greek store selling pre-loved designer clothes, shoes, bags and accessories, with every item checked before it goes online. We redesigned the store on Dawn with a sell page, condition and measurement details on every product, and a custom mega menu.

The brief they came with

Brand Samsara sells pre-loved designer pieces, from Chanel and Louis Vuitton bags to Dolce & Gabbana and Elisabetta Franchi. Products reach the store through a CSV import SDK and Vendoo. The team wanted a luxury look in line with American and European fashion, and named Fashionphile as the reference for structure and usability.

The brief covered a homepage, product pages, a Sell Now page, an about page and a contact page, with filters, clear navigation and bilingual support. It also asked for SEO basics, fast mobile pages, and product templates that show CSV and Vendoo data correctly.

02

The problem

Secondhand luxury depends on detail. A buyer needs to see the condition, the measurements and what comes with the bag. Without dimensions on the page, as the team put it, customers do not know what they are buying.

Product data arrives in bulk. Items come in through a CSV SDK and Vendoo, so every field on the product page had to map to a metafield the import could fill. A template that only worked for hand-entered products would break on the first upload.

Stock sits in more than one place. Items imported from Vendoo, items held in Japan and items held in France each have different delivery times to Greece, Europe and the rest of the world. Shoppers needed to see the right estimate before buying.

The catalogue is large. Some collections hold more than 5,000 products, which is where Shopify's native filters stop working. Bags alone ran past 2,100 items.

Sellers need an easy way in. The Sell page is how new stock arrives, so it had to be simple to find and simple to submit.

What we built

  • 01 Figma design turned into dynamic sections Our design team prepared the homepage and page layouts in Figma, following the luxury direction in the brief. We set up the theme and wrote schema for dynamic sections, so the team can edit content from the theme editor. Three parts needed custom work: color swatches, a mega menu for bag types and popular brands, and a custom search design. Homepage collection tiles pull a custom featured image from a collection metafield.
  • 02 Sell, authentication and Luxury Chronicles pages Next came the core pages: collection, contact, an authentication page and the Sell page for people who want to sell their designer pieces. The Sell page form opens in a popup, built with Powerful Form Builder, which the client called a smart move. We set up the blog as Luxury Chronicles, with a Shopping Tips and Tricks post and a sustainability post titled "Giving luxury a second life".
  • 03 Product pages built on import-ready metafields Every product detail comes from metafields the CSV import can fill: Condition, Dimensions, Inclusions, and a Short Description for the one-line text on collection pages. We tested the template on real imported products, including a Chanel 2.55 and a Dolce & Gabbana Miss Easy Way Satchel Bag, and walked the client's developer through the mapping on a call. A collection metafield called Alternative Collection drives the "You may also like" products.
  • 04 Delivery times based on item location Brand Samsara stocks items in different places, so each product page shows its own delivery estimate. Vendoo items show 3 working days to Greece, 5 to 7 for Europe and 10 for the rest of the world. CSV items held in Japan show 15, 20 and 25 working days. CSV items on 24 hour delivery from France show 5, 10 and 15 working days.
  • 05 Launch on 12 April and early fixes The store went live on 12 April 2025. A leftover line pointing to a missing Pandectes snippet threw a Liquid error, so we commented it out and published. In the weeks after, we fixed filters on mobile, removed the Special offers box from listings, corrected Jewellery to Jewelry, added a Fair condition and removed a duplicate dimensions metafield. Collections over 5,000 products hit Shopify's filter limit, which we flagged and later took to Shopify support.
  • 06 Ongoing fixes and CloudSearch Pro filters We kept the store working as the catalogue grew through Shopify maintenance and support. We added a condition description metafield that reads line breaks from the CSV, so exterior, interior, handles, corners and hardware each get their own line. We fixed stretched cart images, set fixed image ratios in homepage sections, showed color from the variant option and added a shoulder tag to Shoulder Bags. In January 2026 we set up CloudSearch Pro filters in a left sidebar.
