What Shopify CRO includes

Conversion rate optimisation on Shopify is a system, not a bag of tricks. A serious Shopify CRO agency engagement covers five layers, and we run all of them inside the retainer.

Our CRO process

  1. Hypothesise. Every test starts with a written statement: what we believe, why we believe it, and what data made us believe it.
  2. Test. We ship the variant behind a proper split, sized to reach significance with your traffic. 2-4 tests run concurrently each month.
  3. Measure. Tests run until the numbers are real, not until someone gets impatient. Winners ship to 100% of traffic; losers get documented so we never retest a dead idea.
  4. Iterate. Each result feeds the next hypothesis. This loop is why CRO compounds, and why the retainer format beats one-off audits.

How do you decide what to test?

We start with funnel data plus session replay analysis to find the highest-friction moments, then prioritise tests by impact × confidence × ease.

Do I need a specific testing tool?

We default to Shopify's native A/B framework or Convert/VWO depending on your scale. Tooling is included in the retainer.

What happens after 3 months?

Most clients stay on for at least a year, CRO compounds. You can pause or end any time after the 3-month minimum.

How much does Shopify CRO cost?

How long until I see results?

The first tests go live inside 2 weeks, and most stores see their first statistically significant win inside the first 6-8 weeks. CRO compounds from there. Anyone promising a conversion jump in week one is guessing, statistical significance takes traffic and time.

Do I need a minimum traffic level?

Roughly 10,000 sessions per month is where A/B testing gets reliable. Below that we still run the retainer, but we lean on session replay analysis, heuristic audits, and sequential testing instead of split tests, the wins are real, the measurement is just different.

What does a Shopify CRO agency actually do that I can't do myself?
